Eco Park, Patna, Municipal park in Patna, India
Eco Park is a city park in Patna featuring two connected lakes linked by walking paths and running routes. The grounds contain open grass areas and planted zones organized to show different types of vegetation.
The park took its present form in 2011 when the forest department of Bihar developed it and the chief minister opened it to the public. Later additions brought more plantings and art installations through community efforts.
The name reflects an ecological approach, visible in how trees and plant beds are arranged throughout the grounds. Families gather on the lawns to eat and walk along the water edges during their leisure time.
The paths are wide enough for both walkers and runners to move comfortably through the space. Early morning or late afternoon visits work best, particularly when temperatures are mild.
A large sculpture made from kitchen utensils by artist Subodh Gupta stands in an open area and surprises visitors with its form. The work transforms everyday objects into an unexpected artistic creation.
