Bhadreshwar Jain Temple, Jain temple in Bhadresar, India
Bhadreshwar Temple is a white marble sanctuary in Bhadresar with a central structure surrounded by 52 smaller shrines. The walls throughout feature intricate carvings that reflect religious craftsmanship and decoration.
The temple was traditionally founded around 2,500 years ago under Raja Siddhasen, with worship of Jain saints at its center. An important idol was installed at the site, shaping spiritual practice here for centuries afterward.
The center features three important marble statues: Ajitnatha in the middle, with Shantinatha and a seven-hooded Parshvanatha figure on either side. This arrangement draws daily visitors who come to pray and meditate before these sacred images.
The temple opens daily from 6 AM to 9 PM and requires no entrance fee, allowing free access at any time. The best time to visit is between October and March when weather conditions are mild and pleasant.
The temple has survived multiple earthquakes and was completely rebuilt after tremors in 1819, 1844, 1875, and 2001. Despite these repeated disasters, it has maintained its architectural form and stands today fully restored.
