Naaz islands

Naaz islands are two low-lying landmasses emerging from the Persian Gulf waters near Qeshm's shore and rising about 6 meters above sea level. Their structure consists of flat terrain that floods at high tide and becomes exposed at low tide, making them constantly changing landscape features.

The islands served for decades as resting points for fishermen, who built shelters to recover during their long seafaring ventures. These abandoned structures show how the waters around Qeshm were once intensely used for traditional fishing.
