Santa Maria della Colonna, Naples, Baroque church in central Naples, Italy.
The church features a Greek cross plan with a central cupola, decorated with stucco works and frescoes painted by Paolo De Matteis.
Construction started in 1580 as part of a religious complex for an orphanage, later becoming a music conservatory known as Conservatori dei Poveri di Gesu.
The facade, dating from 1715, represents the work of architect Antonio Guidetti and displays the characteristics of Neapolitan Baroque architecture.
The church reopened to the public in September 2018 following renovations funded by UNESCO, though visiting hours remain limited.
The interior decoration combines the artistry of stucco master Costantino D'Adamo with the choir area created by Domenico Bertone.
