Prince Ignazio Paterno Castello initiated reconstruction after the 1693 Sicily earthquake, with architect Alonzo di Benedetto designing the original section of the building.
The octagonal ballroom contains mirrors, frescoes, and a dome depicting family achievements through detailed artistic representations and architectural elements.
