Thiene Airport

Thiene Airport is an airfield in northeastern Italy with a grass runway approximately 1,200 meters (3,900 feet) long and 30 meters (100 feet) wide. The facility has taxiways, parking areas, hangars, and maintenance buildings that support general aviation and specialized flying operations.

During World War I, this airfield served as one of Italy's two main aviation bases and was central to early military air operations. After German occupation in 1943, it became a Luftwaffe control point until the end of the conflict.

The flying club here is named after a famous aviation pioneer from Thiene, keeping alive the local connection to early flight history through its activities. You can sense this heritage through the club's presence and the various flying events held on the grounds.
