Palazzo Porto Colleoni Thiene

Palazzo Porto Colleoni Thiene is a Gothic castle in Thiene featuring tall columns and pointed-arch windows on its upper floors. The two lateral corners display battlements with crenellated roofs, giving the building a fortified appearance.

Construction was initiated by Domenico da Venezia and completed by Giovanni da Porta in 1476 during the late-Gothic period. The building arose when architecture sought to merge defensive and representative forms together.

The interior walls display elaborate frescoes painted by Renaissance masters, filling the rooms with animated scenes and vivid colors. These paintings shape the visual experience of the rooms today and tell of the artistic flourishing of that era.
