Palazzo Porto Colleoni Thiene is a Gothic castle in Thiene featuring tall columns and pointed-arch windows on its upper floors. The two lateral corners display battlements with crenellated roofs, giving the building a fortified appearance.

Francesco Porto senior, one of Vicenza's wealthiest lords, commissioned the building in the 15th century as a warehouse for agricultural produce. It was completed by 1476 under Domenico da Venezia and Giovanni da Porta. In the 16th century Francesco Porto junior added a second storey, closed the merlons and built the two symmetrical staircases and the crenellated wall. The Porto family kept it until 1816, when it passed to the Colleoni and later to the Thiene family.

The ground-floor Camerone del Camino is fully frescoed by Giovanni Battista Zelotti and Giovanni Antonio Fasolo, the best-known pupils of Paolo Veronese, to whom the works were once attributed. The four scenes come from Livy's Ab Urbe condita: the meeting of Massinissa and Sophonisba, Porsenna and Mucius Scaevola, Cleopatra's banquet, and the clemency of Scipio. In the blue sitting room hangs Ponziano Loverini's 1876 painting L'ultimo saluto del Colleoni alla figlia Medea.

The castle welcomes visitors with guided tours, exhibitions, and cultural events scheduled throughout the year. Access is located on Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi in the historic center of Thiene.

The building combines residential palace elements with fortification features in a rare way, showing how noble families built their homes back then. This blend of living comfort and military function is comparatively uncommon to see in this region.
