Area Pettini Burresi, Urban park in Le Cure district, Florence, Italy
Area Pettini Burresi is an urban park in Florence with multiple green spaces, a children's playground, and a dog area spread across its grounds. The youth center C.U.R.E. is located within the park and offers programs and activities for the residential community along Via Faentina.
The park takes its name from a previous owner who donated the entire property to Florence's municipality. A railway reconstruction project in 1989 physically divided the space into separate sections.
The youth center C.U.R.E. inside the park serves as a meeting point where local children and teenagers gather for activities and programs. It remains an important social hub for the residential community in this area.
The park is divided into two main sections, each accessible from the central area near Via Faentina. One section is reserved for dogs, while the other features play equipment and recreational spaces for families.
A wooden theater once stood in the park during the early 2000s, hosting performances on summer evenings. The structure was eventually removed, leaving behind memories only for long-time residents who attended those open-air shows.
