Castello di Petroia

The Castello di Petroia stands on a sandstone hilltop, featuring defensive towers, fortified walls, and internal courtyards that display medieval military architecture.

Built in 1072, the castle gained prominence in 1422 when Federico da Montefeltro, who later became Duke of Urbino, was born within its walls.
