Chiesa di Sant'Egidio

The three-nave church features a central portal with two side entrances and a prominent bell tower containing five bells that ring throughout the day.

The church received collegiate status in 1588 through Pope Sixtus V and underwent substantial expansion in 1630 to accommodate the growing local population.

The apse houses a painting of Saint Egidio Abate, while a lateral chapel displays a Christ figure attributed to the Antonio del Massaro school.

The church opens daily with extended hours during summer, offering three morning services and one afternoon mass on holidays at Via XX Settembre.

Under the main altar rests an urn containing the remains of Saint Cristina, transferred from Via Ostiense catacombs to Tolfa in 1733.
