The building had multiple functions throughout its history, serving as Cagliari Calcio stadium from 1923 to 1951 before becoming a civic market.
The facility houses the Library of Sardinian Studies, historical archives, and multiple spaces for exhibitions, conferences, and multimedia research activities.
Operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday until 1:30 PM, the center provides 88 study spaces with reading lights and power outlets.
The facility includes three specialized rooms for young visitors, complete with changing areas, breastfeeding spaces, and dedicated zones for different age groups.
