From 1239 to 1802, Buonconsiglio Castle functioned as the residence for prince-bishops, serving as the administrative center for the Trentino region.
The museum preserves twelve manuscripts from the 15th century, including a purple gospel book and a Gregorian sacramentary from the 9th century.
Regular admission costs 10 euros, with reduced rates for seniors and students, while children under 14 and individuals with disabilities enter without charge.
The Torre d'Augusto contains the Cycle of Months, a collection of medieval frescoes depicting seasonal activities throughout the calendar year.
