Monte Soglio

Monte Soglio is a mountain summit in the Graian Alps that forms a natural boundary between the Val Grande di Lanzo and the Valle dell'Orco. The area is accessible through marked trails that start from Case Ciochet and pass by Alpe Soglia on their way to the peak.

The mountain has been shaped over time by hiking routes that connected local mountain communities. A surveying marker with GPS equipment was installed at the summit to record geographical coordinates and elevation data.

The Trail del Monte Soglio event brings together athletes from multiple regions to participate in various distance competitions through mountain paths.

The ascent is possible via marked paths that are accessible year-round, though snow and ice make winter visits more challenging. Visitors should prepare for storms and changing weather at high elevation with appropriate gear.

A Madonna statue sits on the summit overlooking the surrounding valleys. The mountain also serves as the route for a multi-day ultra-trail race that draws athletes from across the region.
