Enrico Caffi Museum of Natural Science, Natural science museum in Bergamo, Italy.

The Enrico Caffi Museum of Natural Science is housed in a historic palace and displays preserved animals, insects, rocks, fossils, and objects from around the world. The collections fill multiple rooms, allowing visitors to explore each subject without crowding.

The collections began at a technical school during the 1800s and were later brought together in this building. The museum opened publicly in the early 1900s under the leadership of a dedicated director.

The museum is named after a local priest who dedicated himself to building these collections, a choice that reflects the town's scholarly traditions. The ethnographic section shows how people from different parts of the world have related to their environment through everyday objects and crafts.

The museum is located in the Upper Town and is easily reached on foot, with enough space to move comfortably through all areas. Plan for one to two hours and note that some sections involve stairs.

The museum holds the fossil of one of the earliest flying creatures ever discovered, found in a nearby valley. This specimen dates back about 220 million years to a time when Earth looked completely different.
