Palazzo Roffia, Baroque palazzo in Borgo Pinti, Florence, Italy

Palazzo Roffia is a Baroque palace located on Via Borgo Pinti in Florence with a notable facade from the 17th century. The building combines architectural elements from different periods and features elaborately decorated interior spaces with artistic ceiling paintings.

The Roffia family relocated from San Miniato to Florence and commissioned architect Michele Magni to design the new facade in 1696. The building thus developed as a blend of earlier structures and new Baroque design elements from that period.

The interior features rooms decorated with frescoes from the 18th century, created by artists such as Gian Domenico Ferretti and Vincenzo Meucci. These wall paintings add depth and visual richness to the spaces they adorn.

The building currently houses accommodations on the upper floors, so free access to all areas may not always be available. Visitors planning to stay should arrange this in advance or inquire about viewing conditions beforehand.

A particular highlight is the depiction of the Apotheosis of Virtue in the gallery, an iconographic theme that visualizes spiritual elevation. This series of paintings was created in 1745 and demonstrates the artistic ambition of that era in interior design.
