The Port of San Benedetto del Tronto is an Adriatic harbour used for commercial fishing, tourist berthing and recreational boating. Its north breakwater, begun in 1908 and completed in 1912, runs 230 metres; the south breakwater followed from 1919, and a third arm north of the existing one was proposed in 1968. A 31-metre cylindrical masonry lighthouse stands between the rotonda Giorgini and the harbour area.

The harbor was established in the early 1800s and transformed San Benedetto del Tronto into a major fishing center on the Adriatic coast. The town grew and developed around this maritime infrastructure.

The port is where fishermen repair nets and maintain their boats throughout the day, creating a working waterfront that defines the character of the town. This active fishing tradition shapes how locals and visitors experience the harbor.

The harbor is best visited in early morning when fishermen unload their catches and the waterfront is most active. Accessible walkways along the waterfront let you explore the area freely.

Along the southern pier there is a remarkable collection of over 190 artworks created by international artists along a waterfront promenade. These works turn the port into an outdoor gallery.
