Belluno Civic Museum, Art and archaeological museum in Belluno, Italy
The Belluno Civic Museum displays regional archaeological findings from prehistoric times through Roman periods, alongside numerous art pieces from different eras.
Founded in 1876, the museum preserves significant artifacts including burial remains of a hunter from Val Cismon dating back 12,000 years.
The museum exhibits Iron Age artifacts from the Cavarzano necropolis excavation, featuring bronze objects, fibulae, and knives that represent local craftsmanship.
The museum operates Thursday through Saturday between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, with tickets available for purchase at Palazzo Fulcis.
The archaeological collection contains grave goods from the Lombard period discovered in Mel and Sospirolo, featuring red ocher painted burial stones.
