The literary park, officially opened on July 14, 2001, honors Nobel Prize laureate Salvatore Quasimodo in his family's hometown where he spent his childhood years.
The museum contains personal belongings, furniture from his Milan residence, and the honorary degree certificate from the University of Messina awarded to Quasimodo.
