Museo del Risorgimento, National heritage museum in Modena, Italy.
The museum collection contains 2,200 artifacts and artworks documenting Italy's journey toward national unification during the Risorgimento period.
Established in 1884 for the National Exhibition in Turin, the museum opened in 1894 and underwent several relocations within the Palazzo dei Musei.
The exhibits present Modena citizens' involvement in national events from the late 18th century through World War I with paintings, sculptures, and engravings.
The museum opens on Fridays from 19:00 to 23:00 and weekends from 10:00 to 19:00, with free entry on the first Sunday of each month.
The photographic collection includes 2,400 images capturing significant figures and moments of the Italian unification process, along with 38 volumes of historical proclamations.
