Villa Zaborra, Venetian villa in Due Carrare, Italy.
Villa Zaborra is a country house in Due Carrare with a medieval tower from the 14th century and lateral wings built in different periods. The structure combines architectural elements spanning several centuries and now houses exhibition rooms with historical aircraft and aviation equipment.
The property came under the control of the Zaborra counts in 1680 and underwent major renovations in the 18th century. These rebuilding efforts transformed 16th-century structures into the building visitors see today.
The villa houses the Air and Space Museum with hundreds of aircraft models, airships, balloons, period uniforms, and engines displaying the evolution of flight. Visitors move through rooms filled with machines and artifacts that tell the story of how people learned to fly.
The grounds are open most weekends and holidays, allowing visitors to explore the building and exhibitions at their own pace. Clear signage helps people navigate the various rooms and find all areas easily.
The grounds contain two garden labyrinths with different themes for visitors to explore. One labyrinth draws from ancient myth while the other reflects modern philosophical ideas.
