Villa Silvestrella

Villa Silvestrella features a northern facade with five rounded arches, steep roofing, and stained glass windows incorporating Jugendstil patterns throughout the structure.

The Palitti family commissioned the construction of Villa Silvestrella in 1915, during a period of urban development that transformed the surrounding neighborhood of L'Aquila.

The palace maintains its original Liberty style architectural elements while integrating Renaissance and Gothic features, representing the diverse influences of early 20th century design.

Following the 2009 earthquake, Villa Silvestrella underwent extensive restoration work until 2015, including the installation of seismic isolation systems in its foundation.

The structure incorporates elastomeric bearings and multidirectional sliding isolators, making it resistant to future seismic events while preserving its historical appearance.
