Museo Novecento, Modern art museum in Santa Maria Novella district, Florence, Italy.
The Museo Novecento exhibits 300 contemporary works across 15 exhibition spaces, featuring paintings, sculptures, videos, and installations from Italian artists.
Following the 1966 Florence flood, art historian Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti initiated a campaign that resulted in over 200 artists donating works to establish this museum.
The museum contains the Alberto Della Ragione collection of 241 paintings and sculptures, donated to Florence in 1969, including works by Giorgio de Chirico and Giorgio Morandi.
Located at Via della Scala 5, the museum currently operates on its second and third floors, maintaining accessibility features for all visitors throughout the premises.
The exhibition spaces integrate multimedia stations, sound devices, and video rooms to enhance the presentation of twentieth-century Italian art collections.
