The Pincio stair ramps connect the Piazza XX Settembre to Montagnola Park through a series of wide stone steps and decorated landings.
Architects Tito Azzolini and Attilio Muggia designed these monumental stairs in 1896, incorporating sculptures and reliefs into the structure.
The stairs feature two notable reliefs: 'Bologna docet' by Arturo Colombarini and 'Bologna Libertas' by Ettore Sabbioni on opposite sides.
Located near Bologna Central Station, the stairs provide pedestrian access to Montagnola Park while offering multiple resting spots along the ascent.
The Fountain of Nymph and Seahorse, created by Diego Sarti and Pietro Veronesi, stands at the base of these nineteenth-century stairs.
