Mola Casanova is an amusement park near Umbertide, in Umbria, built around a restored old water mill on the Tevere river. The site also features a small working hydroelectric power station, walking and cycling paths, and picnic areas set among fields and trees.
The water mill at the heart of the site was once used to grind grain for local farms, and it was a working part of everyday rural life in this part of Umbria. Over time, the mill was restored and a small hydroelectric station was added, connecting the historic structure to a more modern use of the same river water.
The site works well for a family outing, with paths that are easy to follow for all ages. Electric bikes are available to rent on site, making it straightforward to explore the surrounding trails toward Monte Corona and Monte Acuto.
