The castle features a square layout with two truncated round towers, built using stone and bricks in the traditional military architectural style.
Construction of Castello di Procoio began in the early 12th century, and by 1282, the surrounding area included two documented villages with nine hearths each.
The castle includes a small chapel dedicated to Sant'Eurasia, who represents the connection between the structure and the agricultural traditions of the region.
The castle underwent a complete restoration, now featuring eight bedroom suites with antique super-king beds and modern amenities for guest accommodation.
The northwest corner of the castle contains the original 12th-century core, positioned strategically to monitor the route between Perugia and Gubbio.
