Aqaba Flagpole, Monumental flagpole in Aqaba, Jordan.
The steel structure rises 130 meters into the sky, featuring a massive flag measuring 30 meters by 60 meters at its summit point.
The flagpole, inaugurated in 2004, displays the Arab Revolt flag commemorating the 1917 Battle of Aqaba against Ottoman forces during World War I.
The flag colors hold specific meanings: red represents martyrs' blood, green signifies peace, black indicates oppression, and white symbolizes the future.
The foundation extends 2.6 meters deep with 990 cubic yards of concrete, designed to withstand wind speeds up to 140 kilometers per hour.
The structure maintains visibility from three neighboring countries: Israel, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, marking Jordan's only coastal access point.
