Kitakyushu, Port city in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.

Located at the northernmost point of Kyushu island, Kitakyushu connects to Honshu through the Kanmon Straits with bridges and tunnels.

The modern city resulted from the 1963 merger of five separate cities: Kokura, Moji, Yahata, Tobata, and Wakamatsu, forming an industrial center.

The Tobata Gion Yamagasa festival in summer features teams carrying decorated floats through the streets of the Tobata district.

The central Kokura Station serves as a transportation hub, connecting local trains, bullet trains, and providing access to the artificial island airport.

The TOTO Museum presents the complete history of bathroom technology development through detailed exhibits and interactive displays.
