Kitakyushu Media Dome

Kitakyushu Media Dome is a modern music venue featuring a striking circular design with a bicycle helmet-shaped roof. The structure creates a large performance space within its distinctive architecture for hosting diverse musical events.

The facility opened in October 1900 combining a bicycle racing track with a multipurpose hall from the start. The original design was ambitious and intended to accommodate spectators on a large scale.

The venue regularly hosts music performances and the annual Aniuta KITAKYUSHU event, where artists perform anime-influenced songs. Visitors come to experience both international and local musicians in this contemporary space.

The venue is accessible via Kitakyushu Monorail Kokura Line, with Kawaruguchi-Mihagino Station about a 7-minute walk away. Visitors should plan for some walking time from the nearest transit hub.

A professional bicycle racing track encircles the main performance area inside the venue. This unusual arrangement allows the space to serve multiple purposes while maintaining surprisingly good sound quality for concerts.
