Matsumoto Seicho Memorial Museum, Biographical museum in Katsuyama Park Kitakyushu, Japan.
The Matsumoto Seicho Memorial Museum exhibits manuscripts, photographs, and personal artifacts of the Japanese author across multiple gallery spaces.
The museum, designed by architect Tadanaga Miyamoto, opened its doors on August 4, 1998, near the historical Kokura Castle in Kitakyushu.
The museum features the author's reconstructed study room, library, and reception room, moved from his Tokyo residence to preserve his creative environment.
Located at Jonai 2-3-3 in Kokurakita-ku, the museum charges 600 yen for adults and remains open from 9:30 AM until 6:00 PM daily.
The institution maintains a research center that publishes annual academic journals about Matsumoto's work, earning the Kikuchi Kan Prize in 2008.
