Shiriuchi Station, Staff halt in Shiriuchi, Japan
Shiriuchi Station was a railway facility operated by Hokkaido Railway Company on the Kaikyo Line, featuring two side platforms connected by a pedestrian bridge. The station handled through traffic on this route before ceasing operations.
The facility opened in 1990 on the Kaikyo Line and operated until its closure in March 2014. During those years, train services and usage patterns changed across this railway route.
The station carries different names across East Asian languages, including 湯の里知内信号場 in Japanese, 유노사토시리우치 신호장 in Korean, and 湯之里知內信號場 in Chinese.
The location was served by Hakucho and Super Hakucho limited express trains, which ran daily in each direction before the closure. Today, the site is no longer accessible to passengers.
After closure, the location retained its role in the railway signal system under a new operational designation. The site remained part of the infrastructure network even though passenger services ended.
