Noborito Station, Interchange railway station in Tama-ku, Kawasaki, Japan
Noborito is an interchange railway station in Tama-ku, Kawasaki, where the JR East Nambu Line meets the Odakyu Odawara Line. The facility has seven tracks arranged across two levels, with JR operating three elevated tracks served by one side platform and one island platform, while Odakyu runs four tracks with two island platforms.
Both railway companies opened their stops here on March 9, 1927, when the Nambu Railway and Odawara Line extended their routes through this area. Major reconstruction work took place from 2003 through 2007, transforming the entire facility to meet growing passenger demand and modern standards.
Near the station stands the former Number Nine Research Laboratory, now transformed into an educational facility operated by Meiji University.
Express trains on the Odakyu line reach Shinjuku in roughly 18 minutes, while the Nambu line provides connections between Kawasaki and Tachikawa. Platforms are accessible via stairs and elevators, with the JR and Odakyu sections connected through a shared concourse level.
The facility received the designation OH18 in 2014 as part of a numbering system Odakyu introduced to help international travelers navigate their network. Nearby stands the former Number Nine Research Laboratory, which Meiji University now operates as an educational facility open to visitors.
