Nemuro Subprefecture, Administrative division in eastern Hokkaido, Japan
The subprefecture encompasses five municipalities across 3,406 square kilometers of land, featuring coastal areas and rural settlements in northeastern Hokkaido.
Established in 1897, Nemuro Subprefecture merged with Shana Subprefecture in 1903, forming a larger administrative territory in eastern Hokkaido.
