Yonago Station, Railway hub in Yonago, Japan.
Yonago Station is a railway hub in the city of Yonago with three ground-level island platforms serving six tracks. It connects the San'in Line, Hakubi Line, and Sakai Line, making it a key junction for regional travel.
The station was established on November 1, 1902 by the Ministry of Railways as a central transport point for the Tottori region. Over time, additional rail lines were added to support growing regional travel demands.
The station connects to Sakaiminato, where themed trains decorated with characters from the GeGeGe no Kitaro series travel along the Sakai Line.
Visitor services are available in English and Chinese from 9 AM to 6 PM daily throughout the station. Direct rail connections to Yonago Airport make getting to and from the airport straightforward.
The Ametuchi luxury train, introduced in 2018, stops at the station and features interiors made from local wood and ceramics. This special weekend service offers travelers a distinctive travel experience with regional craftsmanship.
