Tōgō Shrine

The Tōgō Shrine includes a memorial hall, landscaped garden, main shrine building on elevated ground, and a pond containing large colored carp.

Built in 1940 to honor Admiral Tōgō Heihachirō, the shrine was destroyed during Allied bombing in 1945 and reconstructed with concrete in 1964.

People visit the shrine to request success in competitions and events, as Admiral Tōgō represents strength through his naval victories.

From April to October, the shrine opens at 6:00 AM, while from November to March, it opens at 6:30 AM, with closing time at 5:00 PM throughout the year.

The shrine maintains 115 parking spaces and accepts electronic payments through smartphone options, although traditional credit cards are not processed.
