Hannya-ji, Buddhist temple in Nara, Japan.
The temple grounds contain a 13-tier stone pagoda that stands 12.6 meters tall, crafted by Chinese stonemason Yi Xingmo during the Kamakura period.
Founded in 629 during the Asuka period by Korean monk Huigan, the temple became a guardian site for the northeastern sector of Heijo-kyo under Emperor Shomu.
The temple houses multiple National Treasures, including a main gate with traditional Japanese architecture and important Buddhist statues from different periods.
The temple welcomes visitors from 9:00 to 17:00, with admission fees of 500 yen for adults, 200 yen for teenagers, and 100 yen for children.
The temple grounds display 150,000 cosmos flowers between late September and late October, earning it the nickname Temple of Cosmos.
