Sōfuku-ji, Buddhist temple in Gifu, Japan.
The temple features multiple halls and traditional structures on its grounds, including rooms with preserved wooden floorboards and historical artifacts.
Originally constructed during the Kamakura period, Sōfuku-ji underwent reconstruction in 1511 under the direction of Saitō Toshimasa.
The temple maintains strong connections to the Oda clan, as Oda Nobunaga designated it as his family temple after moving to Gifu in 1567.
Sōfuku-ji participates in the Mino Thirty-three Kannon pilgrimage route, making it a stop for religious practitioners and history enthusiasts.
The temple contains a distinctive ceiling made from floorboards that were stained during the siege of Gifu Castle in 1600.
