Kozukue Station, Railway station in Kohoku-ku district, Yokohama, Japan
Kozukue Station is an elevated railway station in Kōhoku-ku, Yokohama, with three tracks served by a central island platform and a side platform. The main building sits underneath the tracks and connects the different levels of the station.
The original station building was constructed in 1908, but the Great Kanto earthquake of 1923 destroyed it completely. Reconstruction took place in 1925 and shaped the station into its current form.
The station sits within a neighborhood where train travel is woven into daily routines, with local commuters moving through the platforms during morning and evening rushes.
The station is on the Yokohama Line and is easy to navigate using stairs and elevators that lead to the different platforms. During morning and evening rush hours it becomes crowded, so arriving early or traveling outside peak times helps avoid congestion.
Since 2016 this station carries the code JH17 as part of a system labeling all stops on the Yokohama Line. This numbering system made it easier for visitors and commuters to quickly understand their position in the line sequence.
