Kaiyo is a town in Kaifu district, located in Tokushima Prefecture on Shikoku island. The town spreads across mountainous terrain with river valleys and coastal areas facing the Pacific Ocean.
The town took its current form through the merger of several earlier municipalities. This consolidation shaped its present administrative structure and geographic extent.
The best time to visit is from spring through autumn when trails are easy to walk and the area is most accessible. The hilly terrain requires good preparation, so bring comfortable shoes and water.
