Wat Ounalom, Buddhist temple in Sisowath Quay, Cambodia

The temple complex contains 44 structures, including a main building with three floors and multiple ceremonial halls along the Mekong River.

Founded in 1443, Wat Ounalom became the headquarters of Cambodian Buddhism before suffering extensive damage during the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s.

The temple maintains its position as the center of Cambodian Buddhism, where the head of the Buddhist brotherhood guides spiritual practices and ceremonies.

The temple opens daily from sunrise to sunset, with the third floor offering views of the Mekong River and the surrounding Phnom Penh cityscape.

A stupa within the complex houses an eyebrow hair of Buddha, with a Pali inscription marking the entrance to this sacred relic chamber.
