Pyongyang Folklore Park, Amusement park at Mount Taesong, North Korea
Pyongyang Folklore Park was an amusement park at Mount Taesong featuring miniature replicas of significant landmarks including the Party Foundation Monument and the Juche Tower. The models were crafted with precise proportions to represent the original structures.
Construction began in December 2008 and the facility officially opened on September 11, 2012. It permanently closed in June 2016.
The park displayed replicas of traditional Korean homes, temples, and ancient tombs representing different periods of history.
The park was primarily accessible through organized tours arranged by local authorities. Visitors should note that access was restricted and available only under specific conditions.
All structures were completely removed after closure, as confirmed by satellite imagery. Today, little physical trace remains of the former amusement site.
