Incheon Munhak Sports Complex

The Incheon Munhak Sports Complex is a multi-purpose facility in Michuhol District featuring a main stadium, secondary stadium, baseball diamond, and various supporting sports buildings. The entire complex spreads across a large site with multiple modern structures designed to accommodate different sports activities.

Construction of the complex began in July 1994 and was completed in February 2002, shortly before South Korea hosted the FIFA World Cup. The facility opened as the country prepared for this major international sporting event.

The complex hosts the annual INK Concert each autumn, drawing Korean pop musicians and fans from around the world to celebrate music together. This event has become a significant gathering for music lovers in the region.

The grounds feature parking areas for different types of vehicles, making it easy to arrive by car. Public transportation access is convenient through the I Munhak Sports Complex subway station nearby.

In November 2018, the stadium became the host venue for the League of Legends World Championship final, drawing thousands of esports fans. This shift showed how traditional sports venues can adapt to host modern competitive gaming events.
