Construction of the complex began in July 1994 and was completed in February 2002, shortly before South Korea hosted the FIFA World Cup. The facility opened as the country prepared for this major international sporting event.
The complex hosts the annual INK Concert each autumn, drawing Korean pop musicians and fans from around the world to celebrate music together. This event has become a significant gathering for music lovers in the region.
