Sangju Civic Stadium is a multi-purpose sports facility in the city with seating capacity for around 15,000 spectators arranged in four separate stand sections. The grounds feature a grass pitch for football matches and an eight-lane 400-meter running track for athletic events.
The facility opened in 1992 after completion of construction in 1991. It later served as home ground for a professional football team representing the military athletic corps.
From 2011 to 2020, the venue served as the primary ground for Sangju Sangmu FC, representing the Korea Armed Forces Athletic Corps in professional football competitions.

The municipal government operates this stadium, which combines professional sports facilities with military athletic programs in the Gyeongsangbuk-do region.
