Constructed in 1396, this tomb holds the remains of Queen Sindeok, the second wife of King Taejo who established the Joseon dynasty.
The tomb design incorporates geomantic principles and Confucian values, reflecting the spiritual and philosophical beliefs of the Joseon period.
The Cultural Heritage Administration maintains the site and provides educational programs about royal burial customs throughout the year.
The tomb represents one of forty royal burial sites spread across eighteen locations throughout the Korean Peninsula.
