World Trade Center

The World Trade Center comprises two towers with 43 stories and a height of approximately 150 meters in Colombo's business district. They offer roughly 70,000 square meters of office space with modern design and room for hundreds of companies.

The project began in the early 1990s when a Singaporean entrepreneur envisioned creating a major trade hub for Sri Lanka. The towers were completed and opened for business operations in the late 1990s.

The complex houses various international companies and functions as a space where business professionals from around the world conduct trade daily. You see constant movement of employees and executives through its modern spaces, making it an active center of economic activity.

The building is easily accessible and receives many visitors and workers arriving daily. It makes sense to visit during daytime hours when activity is highest and most businesses are open.

The building uses a sophisticated system to collect rainwater from its roofs and facades, redirecting it for cooling systems and landscaping throughout the complex. This practical approach to resource management often goes unnoticed during visits.
