Slat Al Azama Synagogue

Slat Al Azama is a synagogue in Marrakesh's Mellah district featuring a central courtyard, traditional Moroccan mosaic tilework, and a marble Torah ark positioned along the eastern wall. Four columns divide the prayer space into two distinct sections.

The synagogue was founded in 1492 when Jews expelled from Spain arrived in Marrakesh. Major renovations in the 1950s added a dedicated section for women worshippers.
