Le MAP Marrakech

Le MAP Marrakech is an art museum in the Kasbah that displays 3,000 pieces of jewelry, clothing, textiles, and ethnographic objects drawn from a collection of 7,000 items spanning 50 different countries. The galleries present a carefully selected range of works that emphasize decorative arts and the material cultures that shape daily life around the world.

The collection was assembled by Marlène and Paolo Ponce-Gallone, who gathered artifacts from different civilizations to document the evolution of decorative arts across cultures. The museum emerged from their commitment to making the artistic techniques and craftsmanship traditions of various communities available to the public.

The exhibits showcase handcrafted garments, jewelry, and ceremonial wear that reflect how different communities around the world express their traditions through personal adornment. Visitors can see the distinct aesthetic choices and craftsmanship methods that each culture developed over time.

The museum offers online ticket purchases and guided tours to help visitors navigate the collections. A shop sells souvenirs and home accessories, and a garden restaurant provides refreshments and meals during your visit.

The SHAMS restaurant on the garden terrace combines Mediterranean dining with views of the surrounding grounds and creates an integrated experience for visitors. You can pause between meals to explore the outdoor areas and take a break from the indoor exhibits.
