The church construction started in September 1903 and reached completion with its consecration ceremony on January 9, 1916.
The main altarpiece, depicting The Last Supper, was created by artist Lazzaro Pisani and installed in the choir section during 1917.
The church serves as the primary religious center for the Għasri community, offering regular masses and religious ceremonies throughout the year.
