Central Park

The rectangular plaza features a central fountain, shaded walking paths, and multiple benches positioned throughout the green spaces and paved walkways.

The park, which opened on November 8, 1899, underwent major changes after the 1931 earthquake that transformed its original neoclassical design.

Several monuments across the park honor national figures and commemorate significant events in Nicaragua's history through detailed stone sculptures.

The central location provides easy access to nearby attractions, with food vendors operating from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM selling traditional Nicaraguan dishes.

Four corner kiosks specialize in vigorón, a local dish combining yucca, cabbage salad, and chicharrón, served with traditional preparation methods.
