Rohkunborri National Park

Rohkunborri National Park is a protected area in northern Norway near the Swedish border, spreading across a large landscape of mountains, valleys, lakes, and rivers. The terrain displays typical Arctic scenery with peaks and broad valleys that change appearance with the seasons.

The park was established in 2011 as part of Norway's effort to protect natural landscapes across its northern regions. This decision reflects a modern commitment to preserving wild areas in the country.

The region hosts rare Arctic rhododendrons and serves as home to brown bears, wolverines, lynx, and birds of prey like snowy owls. These Arctic animals are hard to spot, but their presence shows the wildness of this place.
