Rana Ujeshwori Bhagwati temple

Rana Ujeshwori Bhagwati temple sits within Tansen Durbar square and features a three-tiered structure topped with a pointed roof. An 18-armed metal statue of the goddess Mahishamardini stands as the focal point of worship inside.

The temple was established in 1877 BS by Colonel Ujir Singh Thapa as a commemorative structure. Its foundation marks a connection to Nepal's military successes in the early 19th century.
